Here is the real truth about me: when I was seven, I won a writing contest where a poem I wrote was published in the local paper. Since then I have tried to be published as much as possible, because I like it.
Here is my bio, in case you're curious:
Lori Culwell, founder and president of Get Creative, has worked on some of the best-known websites in the world. She served as writer and content manager for several startups in San Francisco, a content strategist and usability specialist for US Web/CKS, where she consulted on sites for Apple Computer, Sega, Harley-Davidson, Mattel, and Sun Microsystems. In 2001, she began consulting for Johnson & Johnson, and has created websites for them, including www.discovernursing.com, the # 1 ranked website on the nursing profession in the nation. She consults on websites for several non-profits, and is often requested as a speaker at national conventions for organizations that wish to integrate the internet into their marketing strategies, such as the New York Hospital Association and the Association of Academic Health Centers. She has presented at the South by Southwest Annual Interactive Conference, Book Expo America, and Digital Book World.
Ms. Culwell was a 2003 recipient of the Big Apple Award for Excellence in Corporate Communications for her work on discovernursing.com. She writes about technology for the Huffington Post and is the author of five books.
So, to summarize: I like writing, I don't like it when people tell me what to do. I write on this blog, and here, and here, and have written five books so far, and am always writing something, and probably if you want to pay me to write something, the answer will be yes.
